I went to Oreilly and ordered a steering rack, special order of course, and they told me it would be here in 5-7 days...$534 (not including core). I called them yesterday to find out that Cardone had told them they would only R & R (they would only fix my rack and then send it back to me...so I would have my car up on jack stands for weeks until I got it back). So obviously I got my money back, but now I don't know who to trust to buy it from. Has anyone bought a rack online recently? ECS and GenuineVWaudiparts.com have them, but does anyone have any recommendations?

 

i went with ECS...they have the lowest core charge, only $80...however, a week after i ordered it I noticed they raised their price by $150...got it just in time i guess

 

The whole steering rack for 530 bucks, that's not a bad deal..
