I think the motor from Shokan is more than 3300. I know its more than that with the trans wheni called. IMO they are a rip, just find a junk yard near you, Eventually a S4 will pop up. Mostly in the winter.
Im looking around for one, but no rush. If i ever find one in a couple years will have one that is completely done over. Forged pistons rods .20 over bore or .30....
ha wonder when that will be.

of course you'd need a tranny too. A4 is 5spd manual, s4 is a 6spd manual. not to mention the gear ratio is completely different to cope with the diff power band.
Why bother going stand alone? Use the ECU of the car that the engine and wiring harness came out of and your problem is solved.
