I think the motor from Shokan is more than 3300. I know its more than that with the trans wheni called. IMO they are a rip, just find a junk yard near you, Eventually a S4 will pop up. Mostly in the winter.

Im looking around for one, but no rush. If i ever find one in a couple years will have one that is completely done over. Forged pistons rods .20 over bore or .30.... ha wonder when that will be.

of course you'd need a tranny too. A4 is 5spd manual, s4 is a 6spd manual. not to mention the gear ratio is completely different to cope with the diff power band.

Why bother going stand alone? Use the ECU of the car that the engine and wiring harness came out of and your problem is solved.
He must be full of crap then...He has posted about doing them, yet nothing about the tranny once. I forgot about the S4 and the 6 speed. I thinking now what about a tip (no fun boo) and putting a level ten Tq in there? That could work...but whats the point with an S4[:@]

That is true....but why didn't you SC your 2.8L?
