B6 mods list
I was hoping to get a collection of members and their current and future mods list going. I though it would be cool post up plans and pics of your rides and even discuss some of the mod choices. Ill go first
2002 Audi A4 3.0 V6 Quattro 6spd sport package -Intake -Unitronic Stage 2 Chip -cross drilled rotors, ceramic pads *Future* 3.2L Vr6 conversion with a GT35r turbo :D |
2003 A4 1.8T Avant (red)
- APR Stage 1+ *Future* - APR Stage 3 (I guess that covers the engine/turbo/exhaust) |
Dolphin Grey 2004 A4 1.8T sedan,
(Used to be a stock base model with 16" wheels and 4x4 status lol) Now: - 18" RS4 reps with oem caps - RS4 rear swaybar - Window tint (35% rear, 50% front) - 16600 Magnaflow dp-back exhaust - DICE Ipod integration - LED interior, liscense plate lights - 6k HID lows/fogs (VVME) - "Stealth" turn signal bulbs - Plasti-dip front grilles (& blacked out radiators) - Trunk spolier - K&N drop-in filter (Used to have a Carbonio, but didn't notice a large difference and the $300 was worth more to me than that intake) - Koni Coilovers (Used to have Tein S-Tech springs and Bilstein sport struts. The ride was too harsh, not enough dampening. I also wanted to be able to raise my car during the winter) - Kenwood KAC-9103d amp and Alpine Type-R 12" sub (with high/low level converter) - Black suede wrapped trim - Podi boost gauge and steering column pod Future: Brakes need doing, so im piecing them together. Right now I have rear Hawk HPS pads and front EBC dimpled/slotted rotors. - Staggered mesh or 5-spoke wheels, dished in the front and deep dish in back. |
2004 Dolphin Grey A4 B6 1.8T/Q: APR Stage 1+: APR KO4 Turbo w/TT injectors, APR Stealth 2.5 Exhaust, APR R1 Diverter Valve, APR Stub mount, APR Turbo Compressor/Throttle Body Hose's, S4 Rear Sway, Carbonio Cold Air Intake, MoMo Shifter, Tint all around and a Kenwood 9140 GPS w/Memphis Amps to OEM Bose Speakers.

That said, I'm much more likely to just do a basic stage 1 simply because it's a lot cheaper. (My car is currently stock everything, 16" wheels, etc.) I'd also like to do the iPod integration thing, but that's relatively minor by comparison. |

Over on audizine there are a few people selling their ipod harnesses for cheap. you should check it out... item: http://www.audizine.com/classifieds/...usv2-02&cat=56 |
I have not noticed a huge difference with fuel economy from stock to the upgrade. Only difference, if you have less than a quarter of tank, and running it hard, that gas goes real quick.
The MPG shows anywhere from 18 to 26 around town and on highway 26ish up to 39.... with the upgrade. If you have your foot in it, you will notice a huge difference between stock and the upgrade. |

No matter how much power your A4 1.8t makes, they will all get about the same MPG when cruising at a set speed while in vacuum. So if you went BT or BAT you can still get that nice 30+mpg while on the fwy.

Hey Im thinking of running APR stage one + on my 04 a4. Do you purchase any other parts when you do that or just run on that? I was under the impression the recommended parts were highly important when running the car out of the normal stock? I already bought the apr snub mount and diverter valve, but still need to purchase the throttle body hose, inlet hose.
