Default B6 Ultrasport 1.8T GIAC FX INJECTOR Setup... NEED some questions answered!

Hey All!

I am thinking about doing the FX Injector GIAC software. This includes the software reflash and injectors I believe. The company boasts a 40 horse power increase with 85 foot pounds of torque. Does anyone on the forum have this setup? What are your thoughts? Is it worth it to get this setup or should I do the normal GIAC software without injectors?

Thank You to Everyone!

GIAC FX =APR 1+ =Revo stg2
they all use bigger injectors that pretty much give u more pounds of torque over a regular flash.
i have to say that IT IS worth it

it's either this or ko4 turbo upgrade.. and of course, injectors with chip is much cheaper and will get you the same gains practically as the k04 turbo upgrade so yes, deff. worth it. i have this injector/chip setup, you will eventually want to get an exhaust, don't bother with an expensive intake, just put a kN filter in place of the box, you might not get much power gains, but you get a really cool intake swooosh when you step on the pedal.

I'm APR 1+ and thats how the A4 SHOULD of came from the factory. The power is smooth but it gets old quick if you like speed, but for low end torque it descent.

All of the above sounds great! With the K&N Filter however will it mess with the airflow and set off an engine code? Because of the oil? With the gains in torque have any of you had trouble with your stock clutch? That is the other important thing I have been reading about and I can't decide what to do about that. If it doesn't matter and the stock clutch will be good if driven conservatively then perfect.

I've been running the kn filter for about a year and have not had an issue. The oil on the cone will cause the MAF to go bad, but if you can't see that there is too much oil on the cone and not dab it off, then you deserve to have your MAF go bad. I always clean mine and make sure it's not drenched in the oil. Dab everywhere to get as much as you can off while leaving the effective amount which is very little. But if you are afraid, any cone will do, just get the cones that you wash in water and dry. I tried that for a month in between when I was buying a new kn filter. It worked fine, I was beginning to think why I even bought another KN filter when this washable one was working as well.

Alright that sounds like a good idea. The only other question that is kind of important is about the clutch? Has anyone had trouble at stage 1+ with their factory clutch?

i haven't had a problem, but i also don't do crazy launches all the time. Almost never, maybe once a month at the most. I havent had a problem so if you don't do crazy launches, then you should be okay, but I think with heavy launches every now and then, it should still be okay.
