Best clutch for the 3.0?
My clutch just went out, happy fathers day!
So ive been doing some research and I see a lot in way of clutch options and suggestions for the 1.8 but not much on the 3.0
I wanted to reach out and get a feel for what everybody else is doing. The car is bone stock with 200k on the clock. this being my first NA car in a decade I am thinking a supercharger will be coming in the next year or so.
that in mind what would a good clutch be?
Oh and is this something I should tackle myself? Im not seeing any walkthroughs jumping out at me.

seems most people are using the southbend, but thats for the 1.8 owners.
I emailed sales at horsepower freaks and they are preaching the clutchmaster FX200 with the stock flywheel resurfaced.
did some searches on the forum and cant find any mention of the clutch master...anybody owned one?

The hot clutch setup for the 1.8t and 3.0 is the Clutch Masters clutch kits and clutch/flywheel kits. I sell plenty of Clutch Masters clutch kits for the A4's, including the 3.0. I even offer a CM Clutch/Flywheel package for the 3.0.
I acutally do all of the 1.8t clutch testing for Clutch Masters. I am the person that got them to make the 1.8t 240mm clutch/flywheel kit, the A4 1.8t FX850 twin disk and the custom A4 1.8t FX850 Super Single that only I offer.
If your 3.0 is not super charged and just dailyl driven then the FX100 or FX200 is the best choice. Those will work with the stock flywheel. You can also go with the clutch/flwyheel kit in the FX100 or FX200, it includes a single mass Billet Steel flywheel that is 21 lbs. The FX100 and FX200 are what most of my 3.0 customers are running and all seem to love the clutch.
Link of the CM 3.0 kits on my site http://www.ringer-racing.com/category.sc?categoryId=45 Priced cheaper then you will find anywhere else.
I dont just sell CM kits, I have owned my own A4 and been part of the A4 community for 11 years now. I can actually be reached 7 days a week.
