Hello. I've been reading a bunch of talk on here about hid headlights and am kind of confused about the different types. I have a 2004 a 4 with the bi xenon headlights(stock). Are these the same or same brightness as the HID lights everyone keeps referring to or are the HIDs brighter? Any info will be appreciated as I'm trying to learn more about my car.

If your audi came with HID's they are brighter than halogen lights. In regards to brightness of HID's it is in regards to the HID bulb, I believe stock HID bulbs are 4300k and the higher you go the more the headlights look blue to purple. If you install 10,000k the light is more purple than blue..........

Yeah, 2 names for the same thing.

HID = High Intensity Discharge
Xenon = the gas used in HID bulbs...
