Has anyone replaced the transmission control module and still have there CVT go out. I'm looking at buying a 2004 1.8 ultra sport with 48,000 miles with CVT. The guy is have Audi install a new TCM ($2500) I'm just wondering if this is just the beginning? Yes I know CVT's suck blah blah get a 6spd get a 5spd, I own a 5spd my wife is pregnant and if her car ever so happens to break down she will need to drive mine and she is way to girly to ever learn how to drive a stick. So aside from my life story I would just like facts and not bias info. Thank you

 

Just don't know if I can turn this down for $11900 and 48k

 

I have a CVT 02 at 80k and no problems yet.... So far so good. Just dont tear the **** out of it...
