Default Can't start the car/ Faulty dashboard ? CAN fault ?

Hi,

The problem*occurred*2 weeks ago, when I put the key in, ESP control shows up and engine cuts off right after it stars plus it gives me a sign of glow plugs/ and oil pressure.*After trying to start the car few times it all clears up and allows me to start the car but.....

after few hours I got it again and on top of that speedometer and odometer doesnt work as you can see on that second video.

Anyone got a clue what can it be ? should I replace instrument cluster or is it a my CAN line faulty ? if so, what can i do whit it ?

Default Starting issue

Your problem may be something entirely different, but I will say that I experienced similar symptoms with my 03 A4 Quattro. My car would start and seconds after starting it would shut off, it would do this numerous times in a row, then start up and run just fine. I could never pin point what caused it, it just had a mind of it's own. Some times it would go weeks of starting up and running just fine. Then start doing it again. It turned out to be he key cylinder. You know, the black part that you put you key in.) That cylinder links with the immobilizer and when the cylinders starts to go bad, it you will experience what I did. After I replaced it, it works just fine. Starts up and runs every time. Maybe this helps, maybe it doesn't. Just food for thought.
