Front motor/snub mount, how to remove?
Hi there
I noticed that the front/snub(?) motor mount has that foamy, spongy bushing inside, which when I tried to move it, fell completely apart. I guess that is normal after about 60k mls. So I ordered a new one from ECS. Now I'm trying to figure out how to remove that mount. Obviously there is not enough space to unbolt it, replace the bushing and slide it back in.
It looks like I have to remove the bumper, radiator, condenser to get to it.
Does someone have a manual, some pointers, or so on how to do that?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

On the 2.0(?) it looks like a walk in th park....
Well, I did get it done yesterday. Headlights, bumper and some other parts taken off. Then un-screw the supports and that will give you enough space to get the mount out and back in. Somewhat easy when you know where and what to look for.
It's done!
Thanks for the info though.

I got it done this Sunday. Had to take headlights, bumper and some other stuff off. Unscrew the support(s) and that gave me enough room to get it out and back in.
Can't believe that spongy thing, wasn't even a ring anymore. Most of it gone, maybe 50% left.
Replaced it with the PU one from ECS.
Like I said, it's all good now.

No special tools. It is not a tough job, just time consuming, especially when you don't know what screws to take out or loosen, and where to find them.
I think it took me about 2 hours to get the bumper, lights and supports off.
Now that I know where all the screws are I am sure I can do it in about one hour.
If you diy just take your time and don't break anything. Did I just say that...?
I broke some electrical connectors, found some bad wires, had to find a plug for the headlight washer hose, needed zip ties for all the loose wires afterwards... Well, just another fun job...
Thx
