I got quoted for 1800 as well and i got a new oe flywheel the ofe southbend kit and valve cover gasket and that was all including the labor.

For the labor, seems to be OK. I was quoted $800 from to places when i replaced my clutch. But now, i think i would've found cheaper places.

 

hmmmm in most cases the flywheel doesn't need any work that's UK only and depends on how you drive so if you drive heres the many things need to be considered, ive heard you skim the flywheel in the US and its not worth it

 

My flywheel was just resurfaced btw

 

mine was also resurfaced.. it didnt look like it needed it, but it wasnt level, it was worn more on the inside
