okay i did a search i found a few diff posts for the Manual transmission but nothing for my tiptronic auto. but long story short i got change from the store and went to throw it in the ashtrey, but missed a penny and it fell and slide under my Silver trim around the shift ****. now what it did was mess up the actually readings of what gear its in and the ruined the nice acordion plastic cover. does anyone know how to remove that sliver trim so i can get that da*n penny out? I got the actual black trim removed on the counsel. I also figured the 4 push clips on the side have a roll with it, but i really couldnt get it to budge! so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

 

i apologize but i figured it out.. you need to press the 4 white flat clips rather than the 4 greyish colored ones that look like snar clips.
