Mine either need replacing or they don't.

For a while my tech has been saying they are cracked and need replacing. Then he said it's not really a necessary repair. I drive about 20 miles a week and the repair cost is $ 1500, I just keep getting hammered for big bills with this car.

I feel like waiting a while before coughing up the $.

Any comments on this repair, is it just a nice-to-have or should I fix it?
