im am getting sick of this stupid car i drive a 04 a4 1.8tq auto today i was driving and when i got to a red light the battery light came on and my car just turned off all of the sudden i dont know what can be the probelm this time but im getting sick of this damn car

 

its either a bad dead battery or your altenator. I had the same thing happen on my explorer

Your car is 4 years old and that's the time you need to start replacing some stuff if you haven't already. Fact of life.

why is it the stupid cars fault?

at least it gives you a battery light so you know to check the alternator or battery, most cars dont even do that...

 

Hey, batteries and alternators go out on ALL cars eventually, I agree with papachristou, at least this one let's you know what to look for.

 

do you guys know how much this is going to cost me

 

Start with the battery first, pull it out and take it to a parts store wher they can check it-free! if the battery's ok then move on to the alternator, also pull and get checked-free, see no money spent yet, maybe it's just the battery if you're lucky. let me know how it goes.

 

Also check cables and connections for corrosion
