I was driving the other day and all of a suddenly all the speakers on the whole driver's side of my car went out, with very faint sound coming through them as if they were barely connected.

I tried searching first to avoid making a repeat post, but I can't find anything really relevant.

Do you think it is an easy fix? And where would I start to look to fix it? Sound on one side of my car is suprisingly frustrating. I can't afford to have audi look at it. Please help, I'd really appreciate any advice!

Before you take off your door panels maybe check your radio fuse. Something similar happened to me and all I had to do was take the fuse out and put it back in! (Assuming it's still good)

If that doesnt work maybe try unplugging your battery for a little so it resets.

If that doesnt work you'll have to take off your door panel and see if its actually the speaker, or if something on your headunit blew.

You could have an issue with your main door wiring harness. They can develop cracks and eventually end up shorting out.

Did anyone happen to find a definitive answer to this issue? I have the same problem.. very low volume on driver side speakers, full volume on passenger. Tore the door apart today, full resistance of 2 ohms measured on speakers, inside of door is spotless, brand new. Wires in excellent shape everywhere. Checked radio/mmi fuse on passenger side as well as radio/mmi and digital audio fuses in trunk fuse box. no issues. Upon troubleshooting further, it sounds like all driver side speakers may be experiencing lower volume, including back seat speakers and tweeters. Help!
