Engine coolant thermostat
 

A4 1.8T, my error code reads P1296 and I check on the Ebahn file for what this code is and it said engine coolant thermostat, and I order one but its not what my engine has, the part on my engine is a c271300702/21600005G. So the replacement is the same. Does anyone have an idea where I can get this part.

The audi dealer, i don't imagine this is a part they would "rape" you on.

All their parts aren't over priced. Just the ones they sell alot of. If it sits on the shelf the price drops. Cause if it sits, it doesn't sell.
