Default EPC light- help

2002 a4 1.8t, battery recently died due to lights left on.
tried to bumpstart (roll it down hill, cars a stick),failed so got a friend to jump it.
car started right up and runs like a champ again however the epc light is now constantly on. car is not in limp mode, and runs fine, no check engine lights.
any help? new battery perhaps, a relay? checked fuse 29 shes not blown

Just like with a check engine light, you just have to go get the codes read.. Its impossible to know why itson until you do..

Guy really stop commenting on articles unless you have something valid to offer. The epc light will go off once u drive around a bit. Thats normal when the car battery dies. Just drive around a bit it will turn off.

Not all EPC lights will just "go off once you drive it a bit". ??!! Cause your "solution" was SO insightful...

There are lots of reasons for a EPC light.. Some of them minor (or flukes) and will go away.. The only way to figure out what the light is pertaining to is to go get the code..

That code could mean many things..

It could be nothing as pa4ul suggested.. I would first give your battery a good charge with a real battery charger.
