How do you know if the ESP button works....... I can't tell if mine is on or off. The button does nothing???? No lights, no indication of whether it's on or off. Think mine's Broke......LOL

I have the same problem in my car. My mechanic told me it came back with two codes; one was a brake controller (if it wasn't working my brake lights wouldn't work properly) or some camber-tilt-sensor something or other(not exactly sure what he said it was. I noticed my light comes on if I turn too sharp when its real slippery on my wheels let loose.
lol thats funny but no i only drive like that if i have to

Why is it you need to fix your ABS right away anyways? I wouldn't be worried about it unless you drive fast and ride people's rear ends.

I pretty sure it's supposed to flash when you spin your wheels..and you're loosing traction because you're makingreally sharp turns when it's really slippery.

It's suprising you folks don't know more about your Electronic Stability Program. It's a wonderful system that controls both individual wheel braking and more importantly throttle position. Wheel sensors (ABS) signal computer to cut throttle and send ABS braking to wheel or wheelsthat has lost grip.
From the manufacturer:
"The program uses the anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), the electronic differential lock (EDL) and the traction control (ASR) system, and is permanently active."
The ESP button on the dash changes the program to allowfor less intrusion of the system allowing the driver more freedom (slippage).
When a wheel loses traction or the car starts to slide, the dash light (orange wheel) flashes. When the ESP button is engaged the same light illuminates and stays on until the button is pushed again or the car is turned off at which time the system is reset.
