Extended Warranty Expiring
My car is about out of the extended warranty period of being a certified used car. I was wondering if I could take the car to the dealership and ask them to look it over for any warranty repairs it my need. I know it sounds odd to take a car in for service even though it doesn't need it, but I thought it would be worth a shot. The sunroof shutters a little bit and the trunk struts seem to be wearing out. Any thoughts on what I could ask them to look at? Thanks
Do you know if that extendedwarranty for a certified used car is transferrable to a new owner? I just bought my 02 a4 this week and he bought it as a certified used car and says its still covered under warranty until december of this year. Does that count for me too or only the previous owner?
To answer your question, I doubt the dealership will look over your carand offerany 'free' repairs.

I know my dealer has a pretty good record of finding leaking seals, etc at 48k.
Or if you're close to needing the regular service/maintenance, take it in a bit early for the service and tell them to snoop around for other problems while they're at it.
I would not only ask them to check the car out before that warranty expires but look into how much it would cost to get another warranty lol you can purchase another extended warranty as long as your car is currently under warranty
