Default Finally! Finished Southbend FE SS install!

First off, please dont even consider doing a clutch job unless you have plenty of heated space, tons of tools, and an extra vehicle. Also order everything you need before
new stretch bolts (flywheel, pressure plate, driveshaft if u can)
pilot bearing
puller for above
tranny fluid
10mm/12mm triple square bits (10mm needs to be long to get a good seat on the driveshaft bolts)
tranny jack
aspirin
plenty of beer
go ahead and start doing situps because my abs and neck were sore as hell!
and clear it with the wife/significant other because she will be pissed at the time you put into this instead of putting something into her!
So over the course of this MONTH [headbang], i installed:
Southbend FE SS (nick@autonahnexotics)
Stasis Center Differential (jason@stasis)
Timing Belt Kit (mike@purems)
Racetec FMIC (nick@autobahnexotics)
everyone's customer service has been superb and i highly recommend all of the above vendors...
So first off... FE SS, to say that it is sensitive is an understandment (please keep in mind ive drive only 60 miles since install) but it defintely takes more pedal pressure (same as OFE SS) but it engages the clutch about 1" from the floor, when u release it, you have about 1" of travel before you better be on the gas! i looked like some stupid *** 16 year old driving a slammed audi this morning lol! i almost stalled it every time i started... but im getting used to it... I will a more thorough review once its broke in and i can really quick shift it and put the power (yeah F you, im going to put all of my 240hp from my lousy 1+) i have to it!!
So for those of you wanting a racetec...
1. the passenger side piping sucks but i got it to work with Doug's help
2. it fits with ZERO trimming on the USP bumper, however i did have to move some of the clamps to tighten in different spots since the bolt type clamps it came with take up a lot of room, you have to make sure u can get every inch out of it...
3. once the temps warm up, i will do some logs to compare to some of my old ones.. in the fall, i was hitting 70+ C IATs! (160F) when the ambient was 30c/60F

Fitting the bumper (paint matches in person)

finished!

Lol, everyone is wanting feedback on it! ive received a dozen or more PMs on it... i have to wait about 1000 miles on break in for the clutch before i can put the power to the wheels... and unforunately, the stasis diff needs power to work!

+1 That is the worst short period of your life. It was so hard to have to take it easy on my car for like 3 weeks.
