Who did you go with for a retailer? I like the look and want to do it to my 2009 Black A6.

Did you do it yourself? What tools did you use to get it done? Any special Audi wrenches?

no special audi wrenches. Just patience and alot of beer. The front is a pain! the rear was cake. Although most places will say ohh u need a certain spring compresser. Yea thats a bunch of crap. I rented one from advance worked like a charm.

i bought them on amazon for $194.00 shipped! and a list of tools: sockets(duh!), i used an impact drill, breaker bar, standard macpherson strut compressor, and lots and lots of patience!! and yeah pa4ul is right the front passenger took me about 3 hours, then the front driver about 2 hours and then the back were both done within an hour. I strongly suggest dropping the rear sub frame completely. It was a lot of fun though! I personally took the job on by myself with no directions and had a blast!

Thats great to hear. Its all about the fun of it!

I am hearing a lot about stock shocks being blown by doing this. Is that really the case? If so, why would they sell a product that does this and why not buy a shock/spring combo at that point?

coilovers are great if u want adjustablity. IMO coils and spring shock combo are priced almost the same now.

Your ride looks nice man. Nice stance.
Here's my current issue. To add springs to stock shocks or not. I've seen some guys go up to 2 years with their lowering springs before having to replace the stock shocks. I'm staring at my springs everyday in my living room just itching to get them installed.

u can install them. Just be aware of your ride being a bit harsh. It will bounce around the road once they blow. I ran around my blown rear shocks for a few weeks. It bounced around alot but if you do it just be ready to replace those eventually.
