Hi all,

I've been searching for two weeks now for an answer to this fun, and I am hoping someone here might know the answer. I just landed a nice little 2004 A4 1.8T FWD Manual with 40k on it, and am loving every minute. The trouble lies in the wiper blade mount system, which doesn't seem to be standard or match up with anything I see in stores etc.

After much research, and very little help from my dealership over the phone (I haven't brought it in yet), I ordered up what I really thought might be the right parts.

Here are pictures of the plastic clip mechanism, and one of them depicts the broken piece that has caused me so much trouble. I ordered up replacement parts only to find that the larger plastic piece didn't come with the smaller clip piece. Very frustrating!

That enough pictures to get the idea? In any case, if you guys know the part number so I could order a fistful of these little suckers, I'd be very grateful!

I'm not sure about the part number... but when replacing blades ect. you must be very careful. There is a limited number of blades out there that are compatible with the B6's wiper clips.

 

The part# is 8E0955247. I did just two weeks ago replace that tiny clip. I got it from the dealer for a $1.00. Most will try to sell you the whole wiper arm unit. The part is available. This is the part # for "broken piece" only.

 

So the part in the pic in the bag is the bigger piece and the part number 8E0955247 is for the little clip thing thats swings or whatever right?

 

The part doesn't exist by itself, if you buy new wiper blades (which you should do ) they come with the clips.

 

Yes, this is the number that the dealer gave me when I recieved the Little clip thing, as you describe it. Also, I don't know about other places, but here in Canada if you order wipper blades they DO NOT come with the clips. The statement that they do just does not make much sense since this problem always occurs when some one attempts to replace the blades and the clip breaks. If the clips were included we would not even have all this discussion in the first place.

 

but new blades are so D**m expensive. Maybe ill go find an other audi and rip it off theirs. jk. well i guess time to spend more money

 

I buy the plain rubber refills and slide them into the stock blades. Cheap and perfect.
