flashing CEL missfiring really bad need help

Default flashing CEL missfiring really bad need help

2002 a4 1.8t Quattro 95K started missing really bad few minutes ago, restarted and same thing. Check engine light is flashing any suggestions? Didn't read the code yet but I read that coils go bad is this true, how can I test them out.

check ur coilpacks its a common things for our cars
the thing is which coilpack, get it scanned and find out

got it, missfires on cylinder 1 and 3 moved the coils packs to a different cylinder and the problem followed, I need to get 2 new coils.

If you are planning on keeping the car I would replace all 4 coils plus put 4 new spark plugs, but if not just replace the faulty one and you'll be good for a while

definitely sounds like a coil.....same thing happened to me yesterday........

i personally would spend an extra 40 and get the extra 2.
keep your two stock ones in your trunk... in case they "randomly" go out....which they do. thats my 2 cents

I replaced all 4 I just got the car and I'm going to keep it for a while. The guy at the parts store can't keep those coils on the shelf especially after a rainy day. Thanx for all the help and advice it made it easier.
