Here's a bump. I have this kit on my Avant and I did some temp logging:

Great IAT drop - this also solved the knock/ping issue I was having after a Revo flash.

Pretty good fitment - I am having an issue where the tube with the boost sensor is hitting the frame rail. I made some adjustments and it didn't seem to do much, so I ended up sticking a peice of rubber radiator hose between the tube and the rail and it helped. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just something I need to adjust some more?

Well if anyone is interested in placing an order please PM, Email or call me. If there are a few people ready to order I might even place the kit on my site so people can order it directly on the site.

Same guy but on AZ he sold a few at just under $400. He got told not to sell them anymore on AZ which he is not and some of the threads from the people that bought it got deleted. AZ wouldn't even offer him an advertising account, boy where have I heard that one before. But yet they seem to let people advertiser over there that dont have a clue about Audi cars, not sure how that exactly helps their members.

Costs have gone up and he has learned that he needs dealers or has to pay to advertise. Which is one of the reasons he contacted me and I try my best to offer products at the lowest price possible.

MikeWire was one of the guys that bought the kit from Brent on AZ.

AudiZine reminds me a lot of 4Chan, a lot of people calling each other noobs, I got the 3.0 engine and when I post on the 3.0 owners club no one replies, they're all too busy trying to get interior swaps and Utterbaddass engine builds, but they don't know how to replace their brakes or check for a vacuum leak...

FYI...my post about the single tube hitting the frame rail...I was able to readjust the tube so it sits above the rail a good inch or more, so it's not a fitment problem with the kit. I just needed to tweak the piping and connectors - something to watch for you other guys installing this FMIC (or any FMIC). No trimming needed on the bumper, but a little on the back of the fog light grills - nothing major.

For my setup this FMIC is perfect - thanks to Brent for supplying good service and a good product at a good price.

Oh, and don't even ask on AZ about it or your post will probably get deleted, or flamed.

Brent has great communication, we have emailed back and forth and he has always answered me back, and this FMIC is a solid product. I was a little skeptical, but figured what the hell...until I ran the temp logs, didn't hear pinging, then I was sold. I suppose most guys on AZ bashed it because of the lower price, and that it wasn't an AWE, ER or ASP. They don't realize that there are only so many places that fabricate tanks and tubes, and that the expensive guys probably use the same tank or something close (even if they fab in-house), so they are just charging more for a similar product.

Yeah does seem odd seeing that most of the people on AZ are always talking about "E-Gay" kits all day long.

Racetec and IIRC AWE/ASP all use cast end tanks. Out of the 3 you mentioned ER is the only one that I know of which actually fabs their own sheet metal end tanks with pipe outlets. This is because ER is an actual Fab shop with Fred doing nearly all of the welding. His FMIC and SMIC's are just works of art which is why he is able to sell them at a much higher price. I have never seen anyone put so much work into a FMIC kit. He will be changing his pricing too, with the rising cost of Anodizing the black anodizing will become an option for a set price. So if anyone is thinking of buying a ER black comp now is the time to grab one.
