hazard lights dont blink when i hit lock button

Default hazard lights dont blink when i hit lock button

but it turns on when i unlock?

when you hit the lock button, is everything actually locking? try locking and unlocking once with the key. and make sure all your doors/trunk/hood are closed

is there a chirp? if not, like that guy said^, something is not closed, or not registering as closed.

i never thought about it but my hood sensor is bad and it shows that the hood is on and thats most likely whats causing it. now how would i fic the hood sensor? a whole new hood latch ?

Might need a whole new latch. Did you try unplugging the sensor and see if it then shows the hood is closed and the alarm arms?

and if not maybe you could jump the connector.

Switch should only be a single grounding wire. When grounded it shows as if the hood is open. Unplugging the wire should then show that the hood is closed.


A 2 wire ground switch just has the 2nd wire used as a ground because the sensor is not grounded to its mounting location. Connecting the 2 would then just loop the 2 causing the hood to seem open all the time.

But I am just going on my 20+ year experiance of being a car alarm installer. lol

haha woa man to much experince for me, if theres an easier way to say this i will appreciate it

how do i unplug it? it bothers me it just flashes cant even see the weather
