headlight symbol

Default headlight symbol

what does it mean when the headlight range control symbol comes on in the display for like one second and goes off. i have seen this symbol before but never thought anything of it. it normally comes on when iam driving my car aggressivley what could be the problem?

not a big deal. sometimes the system just gets a shock from a bump or something. If the warning stays on permanently then you probably have a bad adjustment motor which is like 8 bucks or a bad sensor somewhere which wont be so cheap and probably a pita to fix since they are connected to both the front and rear driver side supsension.

ohh well lets say that it stayes on......should i go to the dealer? and how much r u talking about like 200 or something

if it stays on, find someone with a vag-com to find out what's causing the code. When in doubt, i think you can always bet on the dealer being super expensive.If i had that problem i probably would just live with that symbol. It would be a pita but who needs auto leveling lights anyway...
