HELP....no heat even with new heater core

Hey everyone, im new to this site.
I need some help, I recently bought a 2004 A4 and im having issues with the heat. When I first bought the used car a few months ago...the heat never worked. Well, after the dealer finally decided to work on it, it was too late...my car started running sluggish and idling rough, the test revealed it had a couple cylinder misfires. The dealership ran tests and said that it needed a new heater core and sensor or something and that was why my car had some cylinder misfires and was running sluggish. Well, they put a new heater core in and the car is running back to normal...but there is still no heat coming out of the vents. Im lost and am afraid its going to cost a lot of money just to find the problem. Does anyone know what the problem could be??

How many miles? Any idea when the timing belt/water pump was done last? Dealership should have been quick to jump on telling you if the waterpump was bad but possibly missed the diagnosis.

Possible the dealership didn't burb/bleed the system very well and you have an airlock in the heater core.

Do some searching for threads on how to burp it. Might be an easy fix.

Have you taken it back to the dealer to ask them what they think? You can always say no to what they suggest.
