Question How do I remove the rims' center cap?

I have owned my B6 for 4 months now, and its time to rotate the tires. I cant quite figure out how to remove the center caps without breaking them. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the help, but it didnt work. I tried looking in the hole and have tried using a phillips screw driver and allen wrenches, but just doesnt feel like there is a screw in there. So maybe it needs to be pryed out, but I dont want to try in fear of breaking the center cap.

Discount tire guys tried to pry out mine and damaged one center cap. I don't think they are supposed to be pried out if there are no notches to do that.

Why not stop by an Audi/VW service center. I'm sure they can find instructions at least.

There should be a little toolbox in the trunk to the left of the spare. There's a thing in there that looks like a thick piece of wire with a loop on one end and a bend at the other. Stick the bent end in the little hole on the center cap, put your finger in the loop, and pull. The cap should come right off. It requires a little force, but nothing major.

Happy to help. Now I just wish I could figure out what's causing the metal on metal clanking noise mine is making when I drive on a bumpy road! Ah well, I suppose I'll probably have to take it to somebody to get it looked at.

The centre caps are a strait push fit. Insert an L shaped tool, like a small allen key into the hole and pull hard with mole grips. The plastic cover will come strait out. Its a push fit to re insert.
