I need 350 hp without apr... gt28r fullrace manifold

Frankenturbo won't make quite as much top end power as a gt2871r (~300HP at the crank, 230 or so to the wheels), but it'll spool almost like the stock turbo. It's what I'd do to mine in a heartbeat if I had the budget.

Ok i am building this a4 for my Marine friend who is currently overseas ... he wants a toy/ race car to make a dedicated track car...he likes autox and is looking into road racing... i want to pull motor and rebuild it considering 2.0, want head work, gt28r, full race manifold possibly build my own, head studs, what should i do for injectors? Engine management? I want egr deleted ..air pump gone and anything else not needed for performance ... without cel hahahaaa... Suspension, and likely 3.0 brake upgrade... i welcome your input and advice and recommendations on parts and hardware to utilize ... i want 350ish hp and setup to auto-x ... thank you in advance

Talk to Mike over at Ringer Racing
He's a member here with all kinds of goodies for the 1.8T. There are quite a few satisfied customers of his here as well. I was doing some research when I was toying with the idea of a 300-350 HP project. His shop has almost everything you would need, including manifolds, a million turbo options, tuning, injectors, fuel pumps, FMICs, clutches and fly wheels. He really knows his stuff too.

You misunderstood me - I'd do the Frankenturbo in a heartbeat if I had the budget for it + supporting mods (FMIC, high flow cat, bigger injectors, etc). It'd meet my goals, but be a bit under what you're after, at least as stated in your original post. My current setup is baseline stock, and the Frankenturbo has a lot of appeal for me, as it spools basically like stock, but makes 75% or so more power.
As for your goals, like I said earlier in the thread, I'd be looking into one of the more modern turbo choices than the GT2871r. My understanding is that its capabilities have been surpassed by the EFR series and the GTX series.
