Just bought a B6 - didn't do my research (CVT)
My B6 had a replacement gearbox fitted in 2007 - is there any way of telling it's the 7-plate version from part numbers? I've been told it was replaced 'like for like' and would just like to know if it was uprated or not.

If it was replaced in 07 it has a 7 plate pack in there. I would still get rid of it though, any transmission that has that many TSB's is just asking for trouble.
