Looking at a second A4
Hey Everyone, I am looking for some advice and I was hoping you call could help.
I need to get another A4. I only buy used cars, since I do not like paying the premium for new ones.
I currently have a 2005 A4 Avant 3.0 quattro, black on black. I love it, and now I need a second car. I have found a couple on autotrader that are close to me, but I am not totally sure what to watch out for.
Here are the 2 cars I am currently looking at.
2004 A4 Avamt 3.0

And here is some of the carfax info
Ignition Coils replaced twice? Is that a bad sign?
And the price seems a bit high, no? I am always wary of places selling a "Certified" Audi, but they are not and Audi Dealership.
The other option is this 2004 A4 3.0

And here are some of it's carfax details:
Yes it has more miles than the other one, but the report details the work done, and the recalls that were performed. Since there were a few on this model.
I am interested in hearing opinions. Thank you so much for your time.

I am interested in hearing opinions. Thank you so much for your time.
You already own an Audi, so you know what you're up against. Both cars seem to be well maintained and repairs are reasonable. If I were you, I'd go check them out and go over them with a fine tooth comb. You know where to find all the buttons and accessories, just make sure everything works and they drive well. I personally would avoid a NYC/NJ car at all costs, but them I'm prejudiced against roads and drivers down there. Strangely enough, I'll be visiting Cherry Hill in August with my A6.
I can understand the NY/NJ thing, although both of these cars do not look as if they have been in the city all that much, and they are both at least 25 miles outside of the city. I got lucky with the one I have in that it was a miami car. But then again, it has it's one possible issues, sand, and sea air etc.
Seems like you can never win.
Just wondering about the two sets of failed ignition coils and things like that. Also should I be more concerend that one Carfax details all the repairs and recalls performed, and the other does not. So I am not sure if the recalls were addressed.
How would any of you interpret that data?
Thanks for the help!
