Lightbulb moding efficiently on a budget

Hey everyone! Now I'm sure there are quite a few of these threads but here it goes anyway: I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to mods but you gotta start somewhere. I have about $500 (I could go higher) to spend on mods for my unmodified 1.8t B6. I will eventually spend more but this is just for starters right now. I've been browsing APR and so far I'm strongly considering putting in their cold air intake. I was also eyeballing an ECU upgrade as well. Any ideas on how best to allocate my money and get the best performance for my buck? Maybe a better clutch when it comes time to replace my current one? I would prefer if it were a job I could do myself but I'm willing to go to a shop if need be! Thanks in advance guys!

no intake. All you will get is heatsoak unless u get some sort of badass heatshield. Best bet is chip with tt225 injectors which run about 3 bills.

sorry needed to clear up my post 300 is for the injectors alone and another 5 for the chip. But gains are very noticible.

Where would you get the chip from? I know APR has them. And how much of a boost are we talking about?

just a tune is a huge upgrade from stock.... now if you are on a budget, look for someone selling a kit used, or just the ecu used and then go from there

you will want to get a new dv and boost gauge....

exhaust will help the car also

I may have to hold off with the exhaust but along the line it'll be a must. I think the ECU would be a solid starting point, along with the DV and and boost gauge. There'd be no reason for a BOV instead would there? Those injectors aren't too pricey either so I'll look into that. Thanks a lot for the input everyone!
