MULTIPLE MISFIRE p0300, 301,302,303

Im seriously fruatrated with this dam car roght now. 2003 audi a4 3.0. I just got done doing coil packs spark plugs MAF and re tracing every vacuum line on this car now its all been installed correctly. The previous owner bypassed all sorts of shit and i got lucky enough to have to deal with it....YAY ME😒. That said ive had to replace almost all of the ignition and injector clips as they where shoddily installed for some dam reason and now after everything is back to factory i cant seem to get it to quit popping codes for multiple misfires. Ive traced everything and for a little bit i was jumping from 1,2,3 misfires to 4,5,6 now after due diligence its staying on one side and not flip flopping. Im about to blow my top though because i cant seem to get it to stop. Its rough idling and keeps trying to die if im just idling. Idk what im missing. Considering doing the timing belt as im at 170k but hoping it isnt that as the timing belt was supposedly done at 115k i am neurotic about my cars and this one is no different....I CANT STAND CEL lights or any issues i have to fix them ASAP or it will drive me nuts...any suggestions on what this could be? Also side not the misfire on 4,5,6 stopped after i addressed the code for P0413 for air intake not sure if i should check intakes and compression for that side ir not and tired if throwing money at the wall

Check the wiring from the coil packs on back.

I had to find new plugs and splice them all back into the main harness because the wires were hard and frayed at the end near the plugs...

Worn wiring

This will give you your multiple misfire warnings all day long.

I had a similar issue. I changed all plugs and coil packs on my 2002 A4 3.0. I ended up taking it to the dealer and $3K later, here is what they found:

1. There was a HOLE in my Air Intake and they replaced it the air intake manifold. After this, it was idling great and I thought we were done.
2. The check engine light came on as I was leaving the dealer again and I took it right back in. The misfire codes were all over the place (multiple). So they diagnosed it.
3. They told me it was not the timing because there is a specific code for that and they were certain it wasn't that, even though I have 147K miles.
4. They checked compression and said it was REALLY GOOD and dead on accurate.
5. They pulled out my AUTOLITE spark plugs and told me those weren't worth a crap and Audi's hate them. The gaps were all out of whack on them even though they were brand new and should have already been gapped. The dealer regapped them and I am golden.

I couldn't believe it. The AUTOLITEs are working great now and I have original Audi plugs on order and will install next week. Driven 100 miles with no problem. The hole in the manifold was an issue with misfire to begin with. I am a car guy and never saw the hole, but could hear a vacuum sounds that I thought sounded normal (I just bought the car a few weeks ago). Only Audi parts from now on for me.

Good luck.
