Need Help - Replacing Battery on my A4
The battery in our 2002 A4 Quattro is completely dead. I was going to check the water level to make sure the plates were covered, but then I couldnt figure out how to do that. The fill caps seem to be covered by a plastic film and I was hesitant to try to remove that. Any thoughts?
Then Idecided to just go ahead and replacethe batterybut can't figure out how to get it out. I disconnected the cables from the terminals, but I can't find whatever bolt is holding the battery in place.
Can anyone walk me through how to get the battery out? Anything else I should have a heads up on before replacing the battery myself? (I just refuse to pay the $500 the dealership quoted me to replace the battery.)
Thanks!

There is a lot of information on the audizine site about this, including possibly using an Optima replacement. At any rate you need to remove the hold downbolt located in front center. Lifting it out and in seems like the biggest hassle to me, not to mention re-activating the keys.
