Unhappy newb Q: ignition coil = coilpack?

hi, it's probably really a newb question: ignition coil = coilpack? i'm trying to figure out how my '04 A4 is high on fuel consump. and an apparent lack of power. Could it be that the coilpacks are now near its life??

thanks

ignition coils=coilpacks. But i doubt they are your problem.
possible things u need to check:
02 sensor(s), maf sensor, tire pressure, dirty intake, bad gas, spark plugs (no misfiring, right?)

tire pressure, gas is 91 and spark plugs all ok. might be the intake. I 'll get that checked out once everybody is bak to work.

o one more thing: any time interval of changing the coilpacks cuz my car is currently sitting at around 80K, so any mileage or replace only after it breaks?
