Default oil draining...... Bet you've never heard this one ;)

So I'll admit, I didn't search for an answer but I'm pretty sure no one has asked it yet....

Does more oil drain if the car is level as opposed to the front being raised? I'm just asking because the garage to my new house is on a slight angle to allow liquids to drain out the front of the garage....

Anyone?

i doubt your house is angled enough to make a difference, besides you have to have the front end raised to drain oil unless you are one skinny ****... and few of us have lifts where we can raise the car equally front and back

Oh, I am a skinny **** LOL, Thanks. In anycase, I figure if I back the car in and raise the front it will be on less of an angle compared to raising the front of a car parked on a level surface.

Cheers ****

I could only think it would help if you raised it on the passanger side and forced it out that way to make any differance. I'm not sure a small incline or decline would make any differance at all but if you want to be the first to do an expermient about how much you can get out that would rock.

I'll try raising it on the drivers side to see how much oil comes out..... Honeslty though I don;t think it's gonna be a HUGE difference.

I always undo the bolt, while it's up, then lower the car to ensure all the old oil drains out fully. Then jack it back up to put the bolt back in..

I'm on the thin side but not a total twig and I just have my pan ready and ratchet the bolt out. I never jack it. (Hahahaha)
