Please help me do this the proper way
Hi,
I am wondering if anyone there is able to help me out with this.
So after my car threw a code saying coolant temp too high i decided to replace the coolant temp sensor because the temp needle is still in the middle so i am thinking its not the thermostat
I opened the coolant tank and i found out that the car has brownish coolant in there, nasty color and i decided to do a flush, I opened the bottom sensor near the front drivers bumper and release the coolant inside, there was some residue so i had to clean that out with water rinsing.
Now the thing is i was able to take out about 1 gallon of coolant all together and i have read that it takes about 2 gallons when mixed 50/50 with distilled water and g12
My question is , where are the Releas nipples located , is there one underneath the enginee?? i am almost positive that the sensor is not considered a release point in doing the flush
please help me figure this out so i can get all the coolant out and do a complete flush and rinse before re-fill
Thanks
