Default Please help me, i could use it, engine sputtering and car shaking

2004 a4 1.8t with 108k on it. I started my car today and my car started to sputter and shake quite a bit. I just had it at the dealer a few weeks ago and they checked and replaced my coil packs. Never had a problem until now. I started to look into possible common issues and found that it could be exactly this. Which would also explain why ny exhaust smells like straight gas because its not all gettin burned, am I correct?

could also be a vac leak. Or ur connectors on your cp not being fully seated.

I went and got it scanned, after it came back as all 4 misfired, we looked around the engine bay a bit. The most we really did was jiggle the maf sensor, I got out of the parking lot and it drove normal, 5 hours later, no more CEL either. I'm gonna take the maf off and clean it, that should help prolong this luck

1. Car was fine before you took it to dealer (I assume so)
2. Dealer replaces coil packs
3. Car now having problems

Solution= the coil packs plain and simple

It's the most logical deduction so you should be looking at that first. Take them out (not hard to do), inspect them and put them back on. Also, check your spark plugs and the spacing. .032 if it's non chipped and .028 if it is.

are you using a K&N filter? the oil from those is known to mess up MAF sensors.

Truth spoken. for future users if u get a k&n let it dry out for a while 15 to 30 minutes. Then install it. same deal when u recharge it. Dont over oil it.

My car is all stock. I haven't done anything to it yet, only had it a short while. It runs perfect again, its like she had her period and felt like being a worrisome bitch. I love her but man, that was uncalled-for. So of its running fine again, I'm gonna leave it for now and bitch at the dealer when I have time.

All 4 cyl misfire codes stored, chances of it being a coil problem are slim to none. Sounds like theres a sporadic high resistance in the MAF connector terminals. All it takes is the slightest corrsion and the signal is messed up. I don't mean CORROSION, but an invisible corrosion, almost like a coating that you'll never see. We use a product called DeoxIt. It's made specifically for electronic circuits such as this.
DeoxIT® D-Series
