Possessed sunroof/moonroof!
 

So I followed the procedure on the A4 mods website about pulling the assembly apart and messing around with the 2 tabs on the rotary switch. It is still acting screwy. I was driving and it raised and lowered on its own. Or if I turn the knob to open it, when I turn the knob back to close it, it doesn't close. I have to turn the knob to close-open-close again to close it. Thank god there was no snow or rain. What now?

Yes! Same problem on 2003 3.0L
 

I have the same issue in my 03 3.0 - what is the procedure you are talking about regarding the assembly? Mine does the exact same thing - it will tilt open and close by itself and will not close when I turn the dial shut. I have to do what you do - turn open and close. Any recommendations?

ok nice, there are more out their with this problem, ahah i thought i was the only one, maybe its just a bad switch all together??? all i kno is its annoying especially when your on the freeway
