hi i just got a 04/a4 quattro/94k miles. i notice when climbing a hill or going down a ramp the red oil light comes on. i searched audi forums and i cant seem to find anyone with the same problem. this is in the cel screen. but then the light goes off. the first thing i did was to change oil mobile 1 0/40 when i got the car. i also get the yellow oil indicator but the plastic house in the dipstick tube is broken. so when i move the dipstick around the yellow light comes off. any help would be appreciated.

 

Which engine do you have?

My wife's 2003 Avant 3.0 did this when we first got it, but after changing the oil with Mobil One 0w40, the red light hasn't come on since.

If you have the 1.8T, I've read on here before of some people having luck by cleaning out the oil pickup tube on the bottom of the oil pan.
