Hi everyone

My remote fob cannot be programmed for remote lock/unlock. So far this is known:

1. all fuses are OK
2. remote tested in two places and is radio transmitting ok + has new battery
3. try to program it by turning ign on while holding unlock for 3 sec then ign off
so far no luck. Method defo works as I've tried it on friends b6
4. interior light next to review mirror does not work either.

5. central locking and alarm operate on key.


please help

 

have u tried sticking the key in the door and locking hold for 3 seconds while pushing the unlock button on the fob. reverse and do the same with the unlock 3 seconds hit button. Then go into car and turn on. Might take a drive to get it to resync. at least i think thats how it went. Been a long time since i had to resync the key.

 

Thanks for advice. I've finally disconnected battery for 10 mins then connect it back on then programmed the key and it is fine now. It does loose it now and again but at least it works. So it needed a good reset


now I need wiring diagram for dome light and door lock. Guess that requires a new thread

for ur other problem have you check the fuses yet? I forget which one is for the interior. There should be a diagram of the fuses on the back of the panel when u pull it off to see the fuses.
