Default Remove speed limiter

How do i remove the speed limiter on my 2003 a4 1.8 turbo Audi?
At the present time it will not go past 100 mph.

I thought the factory governor was set for 130 MPH. That said, I'd expect *most* tuners can remove it (or change the setting to whatever you feel is appropriate). Frankly, I don't see the need unless you're tracking your car; that kind of speed is inadvisable in terms of both safety and fuel economy on public roads...

My guess at the reasoning for it being 130 has always been that the stock tires were H-rated and thus shouldn't be taken above that. I mean, redline in top gear is like 138 or so anyway, so unless it's a tire thing, why bother with limiting it by 8 MPH?

Chipping the engine should remove the electronic governor (which should be 133 mph). But make sure you have the brakes and tires before exceeding it. My A6 allegedly touched 150 after being chipped.

Mine was at a 100 and after my stage II flash we found that somebody was tinking the file in the shop. It was an error. They just made the change and reflashed. See your audi tuner shop and get a flash.
