Default Removing screen on top of dash below windshield

Hey guys, I don't post on here but I cruise the forum occasionally. Anyhow, my wife spilled a sugary latte in our '04 A4 and it went all down the dash and it's all over the screen that's just below the windshield in the middle of the dash.

My question is, what's the best way to remove that screen? I need to pull it and soak it in hot soapy water to get it clean.

Thanks in advance!

I'm just an east coast redneck with a 2003 f150 and two old beat up audis, and I don't know what you are talking about without a picture of the 'screen,', but I would use generous amounts of rubbing alcohol on it, maybe using a qtip, and hope that the chemical will break down the sugar. and tell your wife to quit drinkin and drivin.

(This is not a picture of my interior, just an image I found on google)

Its on top of the dashboard in the center, directly in front of the air vents.

Curious to know if it can actually be removed..

Thanks for your input though, I'll try the rubbing alcohol on it.

hmm i would imagine the entire dash woul dneed to be pulled out to access that. NOt sure if just that vent might pop out though so u can at least clean there. i think there should be a diy on pulling out the dash. Though i know its a big pia!
