I have a 2003 A4 and need another key. I have one, just not a spare. Lost one of the two I had. I searched the forum but could not find anything. Anybody know of a good place to get one? I live near Raleigh, NC and there are a lot of Audi's around.

Do you know where I can get it cut? I called 1/2 a dozen locksmiths in Raleigh and nobody will touch it.

 

you need more than just a cut key... you need the immobolizer chip inside of it too or else your car won't start. It's expensive but best to go to the dealer with this one.

 

I inquired my local Audi dealership and they quoted me:

$200 for non-programed key
and
$300 for a programed key

 

what would a non programmed key be?

so it wont have the immo chip or be able to unlock/lock the car with remote? whats the point?

 

The non-programmed key is a key that won't have the remote programmed into it, which enables you to unlock/lock the car from a distance. This key will still have the secret key code for the immbolizer to start the car.
