Default Replacing wiper blades

Hi,
I just got a used '02 A4 and was hunting for wiper blades at the auto stores in USA. I couldn't find any that fit. Can somebody please tell if we can find cheap(er) after market wiper blades? I hate to go to the dealer for something as simple as wiper blades. Did anybody try wiper inserts? Please post your trick. Thanks

if your car it`s the same as mine you should check with your dealer, it`s the single one that can give you that. the wiper blades we have on our cars are used only to them and newest bmw 5 series ( 2002 + ) . Try to get the 5 series wiper blades if you find

I didn't have any luck finding replacement/after market blades for my '02 A4 at any local auto part store so I ended up buying the inserts from the dealer. I recall seeing inserts for sale on a website, probably for less than the dealer was charging, but I decided to buy them from the dealer so I was sure that they would fit, and so I could get them on ASAP. Installing the inserts was a bit of a pain but I would do it again rather than pay for an entire wiper blade.

Rain-X my friend, Rain-X... Put that stuff on every other time you wash you car, and no need for wiper's, even at a dead stop...

Does anybody know how to get the wiper inserts out on newer A6's? I have an 06 and it looks like I am going to have to break the plastic thing off the end of the arm to get the wiper insert out???

New OEM blades are $90!! And I also hate going to the dealer for easy stuff. Any idea? I did see inserts online for $8 bucks...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

How much did the inserts run you? I ran into the same problem but I went to the dealer and I just bought the whole arm, they were only 14 bucks a peice and they are Bosch blades. With those and some rain x I couldn't ask for any better performance.

Default Rain-X

I just bought a new set from the dealer for $42 ($35 after a customer discount card). This is my second set in three years. It is easy to take off and a pain to put back on. I have to agree with posts above. Rain-X!

Hard to put on? Are they different than my 05? Slide the end cap off...replace wiper..slide back on. Is yours different? ECStuning.COM has replacement wipers for decent price.

Nope, those wipers are available at dealers only. Well... I don't think getting wiper blades from dealers is a big deal. It costs me $12 per peice which about the same price I paid for Bosch at regular auto shops for my previous car.
