Looking for advice on this one. Is this something that can be done at home or is it not worth the hassle trying to save the cash! I am mechanic by trade but sometimes it's not worth it. I am located in newark delaware if anyone has a good recommendation on a repair shop. 2004 A4 quottro avant

 

from what i know,its the same effort as any other wheel bearing,but you need a press to get it out.

 

Well I decided to go for it dealer wanted 550.00 other audi shops quoted 350.00. bought the parts for 100.00 and jumped in. 6 hours and I'm done worst part was getting the bearing assembly off the car, we the disimilar metal it's not a good thing, once I beat it off the car it was just loaded with corrosion on the bottom half of the bearing housing. All and all not to bad learned a few tricks and would do it again.
