Default Shifter **** size for A4

Hi guys. So question, does anyone know the thread size for a 2004 A4 6-speed shift ****? My bfs birthday is coming up (yup im a girl ) and i want to buy him a custom shift ****. I've looked around online, and i believe a 10x1.5 would fit, which is a universal size? I'm trying to get the exact size for the a4 manual shifter though, so any help is appreciated!

is yours 6 speed or 5 speed? mine i s 6speed and its just pressed in, i could pull mine off by holding the shifter and pulling upward on the ****. if its this way you can get a kit that has threaded inserts that you can slide onto the shifter and glue it there so the aftermarket **** will thread in then

It's a 6 speed and I'll check out how to take it off. Probably ask a guy lol. Thanks!
