Snow tires!

So with Winter up and coming and this being my cars first winter I need to do some tire replacing. Any advice or recommendations as far as snow tires or all-season tires.

I've heard the Blizzaks are amazing in the snow.

Check out Tire Rack's website since they have many reviews on tires.

Dunno much about snow tires, but the Yokohama Advan S.4 all seasons on my car seem to handle the snow and ice just fine, and I'm in Minnesota, so we do get "real" snow here, and then some. Presumably snow tires would be even better, but I've got no complaints driving on what I've got...

im fine on my all season set up too, and living in the north east, we do get quite a bit of snow.

on my last car (v8 thunderbird, rwd) i did have blizzaks and they were a great tire.lots of life in them too, so id imagine some of these on a quattro would make for a nice snow plow

I use Michelin PA3s' and they seem to be working out

I've got Blizzaks on right now that we're thrown in with the purchase of the car, we haven't had any snow to speak of yet but I can tell that they'll be awesome in the snow just by how they handle the rain. There is a good bit of flex in them though, but that just may be because my winter rims are 16" and I'm going from the 18" Sumitomo HTR ZIII summer set.

I don't think you'll have problems with the Blizzaks for whatever snow you get into, only downside is their pretty damn pricy on TireRack

My wife's A4 with quattro was almost unstoppable last year on basic fresh all season tires.

We run snow tires on our squads though and they are okay but they're not magic. Once pavement temps get over like 40 or 50 degrees though get them swapped back out or they will wear very quickly.

continental extremewintercontact are the best.

I ran my B5 through some pretty deep shit on just the stock wheels and Cooper all-seasons that came on the car when I bought it. I didn't really see the need for winter tires with quattro, but I suppose if you got enough of the white stuff to make them worthwhile...

I've driven my E46 through a couple good snow storms on Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's, and even with the RWD I've never been totally hopeless. Seem to be pretty good tires. As far as reasonably-priced all-seasons go, Continental ExtremeContact DWS seem to have a nice balance between grip and versatility.
