Stereo Wiring

Hi everyone,
I have spent the better part of the weekend hunting down information about my symphony head unit (that died) so I could get a new unit wired up.
I believe I have a pretty solid understanding of every wire I need to consider, however, I need a switched 12 v and although somebody has told me that I can get it from the heated seats, I tried to determine with the multimeter which of the wires going into the climate control carries switched 12 v, but either the multimeter doesn't work, or I am an idiot, or I am just having bad luck.
I tried each plug (there has to be at least 5 in the back of the climate control and I can't get a 12 v readout.
If this can help, I have determined which of the plugs powers it up, but after attempting to determine which of those wires is a switched 12, I can't piece it together.
Can anybody tell me if they know which wire in the climate control/heated seats block carries switched power?
Thank you.

So you're trying to put an aftermarket head unit in? When I put mine in I couldn't find a 12V source either, so I ran a line over to the fuse box, not a great solution, but it's worked so far.

Thanks for the feedback, I ended up doing that as well. All's working.

Having the same problem. Which fuse did you end up plugging it into?

I went to the fuse box and hooked up to the -IIRC- stereo fuse, which is switched. I was doing it with a friend of mine and he ended up hooking the wire up after I ran it from the stereo location to the fuse box, but I can double-check if you want me to.
