Hello - I have a 2002 A4 1.8T Quattro Tiptronic 5spd. My output shaft seal has been leaking so I read the DIY and started in. I am having a problem separating the driveshaft from the output shaft. The 6 bolts are out, but they won't come apart. I have been banging on it with a rubber mallet and with a wooden dowel, but so far no dice. Anyone have this problem before or have tips to getting them to separate?

Try pulling it in and out, other than that a big rubber mallet or you can try kicking it. Just don't hit on the driveshaft with any metal hammers.
