Default Need Rear Brakes Recommendations

I have an 03 A4 1.8T with 50k miles. The dealer says the rear brakes have less than 25% remaining and recommended replacing them.

Can you give me recommendations on name brands and sources. Should the rotors be changed too? Do the rear brakes wear out faster than the front ones?

Any info is appreciated.

If your rotors are worn, your going to want to do them all at once. Think of it this way, if you do pads now and rotors a week from now, your going to put new rotors in with pads that have worn to the pattern of your old rotors.

That said, brakes can get expensive.

As far as pads, I'd recommend Hawk HPS pads, and you can get those and rotors here:

If you have any questions on what to get, ask Jason at SpeedLife, he has been a HUGE help to me in planning out and outfitting my car. Always goes the extra mile.

Oh, and I like your choice in vehicle, same as mine

If you have lips / ridges (on the outer portion of your rear rotors), then you should also replace your rotors. But, it's always best to replace rotors w/ pads.
